DESCRIPTION:Randwick Wap 2019\nThe Randwick Wap is a series of events during spring which culminates in a traditional procession and festival dating back to the Middle Ages. Various theories exist on how it began\, although most villagers believe it was a celebration that followed the completion of building Randwick’s parish church. The Wap was revived by Randwick’s late vicar\, Rev. Nial Morrison\, in 1972 and has steadily grown to become one of the region’s leading annual events.\nIt is a great free afternoon out for families and we have visited on many occasions. They perform in the extraordinarily beautiful parish church of Tetbury\, St Marys’ Church.  An early and fine example of Georgian Gothic architecture\, the church has a fine acoustic to match which attracts both musicians and audience. \nThe Festival takes place in the early Autumn when the nights are drawing in and the church is lit by candlelight. DESCRIPTION:The Cooper’s Hill Cheese-Rolling is an annual event held on the Spring Bank Holiday at Cooper’s Hill\, near Gloucester in England. It is traditionally done by and for the people who live in the local village of Brockworth\, but now people from all over the world take part. The Guardian called it a “world-famous event”\, and indeed\, in 2013\, a 27-year-old American man and a 39-year-old Japanese man each won one of the four races. DESCRIPTION:Randwick Wap 2018\nThe Randwick Wap is a series of events during spring which culminates in a traditional procession and festival dating back to the Middle Ages. Various theories exist on how it began\, although most villagers believe it was a celebration that followed the completion of building Randwick’s parish church. The Wap was revived by Randwick’s late vicar\, Rev.
